From August 24 to 29, the 23rd International Congress of Nutrition (IUNS-ICN 2025) was held in Paris, France. On August 28 (local time), the International Union of Nutritional Sciences (IUNS) announced the list of newly elected Fellows for 2025. Professor YANG Xiaoguang, Vice President of the Chinese Nutrition Society, and Professor MA Aiguo, Executive Vice President of CNS, were selected as Fellows of IUNS alongside nine other scholars from various countries.

Professor YANG Xiaoguang is a researcher at the National Institute for Nutrition and Health, Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and serves as Vice President of the Chinese Nutrition Society. His main research areas include the nutritional and health status of Chinese residents, the use of stable isotope labeling techniques to study nutrient requirements, and the safety evaluation technology for the consumption of genetically modified products.

Professor MA Aiguo is Dean of the Institute of Nutrition and Health at Qingdao University, and Executive Vice President of the Chinese Nutrition Society. He has long been engaged in epidemiological research on nutrition and health in special populations, particularly conducting nutritional status surveys and community-based nutrition improvement initiatives among the elderly, pregnant women, and tuberculosis patients.
