Recently, the Chinese Nutrition Society (CNS) released its commemorative logo for the 80th anniversary, which marked the official commencement of a series of celebratory events for the Society’s milestone.
Looking back at history, the First National Nutrition Conference was held in Chongqing in 1941, where plans for establishing a nutrition society were first initiated. In 1945, during the Second National Nutrition Conference, CNS was officially founded in Chongqing. In 1950, CNS merged with the Chinese Physiological Society while continued to carry out academic activities in nutrition. In 1985, CNS was formally re-established as a national first-level society.
Over the past eight decades, CNS has remained steadfast in its commitment to science and the well-being of the people, deeply cultivating the field of nutrition and contributing to the construction of a Healthy China. Generations of nutrition professionals have enshrined their original aspiration, to promote the progress of nutrition science and serve the health and well-being of all people, in their DNA. CNS has always committed to propelling the development of China's nutrition endeavors and safeguarding the dietary health of hundreds of millions of people.
This year, CNS will be celebrating its 80th anniversary. To commemorate this landmark event, the Society will host a variety of celebratory activities, including a series of scientific open lectures, the publication of a commemorative special issue, the release of a commemorative video, and more.
Logo Interpretation:
The logo integrates elements such as wheat, ribbons, and the infinity symbol, presenting a graceful and flowing form. The upward-extending wheat ears symbolize the continuous progress and the creation of a healthy and prosperous future of CNS. The five colors represent heritage, health, innovation, collaboration, and development. The ribbon links all key stages in the development of CNS. The trail left by the fluttering ribbon maps out the number 80, fully embodying rich historical accumulation of CNS over the past 80 years and symbolizing its unwavering commitment to the health and well-being of the people.
